International Tracing Service

The International Tracing Service is an incredible archive that has allowed people to trace and obtain historical records about family members who were victims of Nazi persecution.This service gave Memory Project founder Roz Jacobs the ability to find out about her own family:

"I used this service and got a lot of post-war information about my parents after they left Poland. I also found out that my mother's father Ephraim was taken from the Warsaw ghetto to Majdanek and killed there on September 17th, 1943. It was very emotional to find that out. Even though I knew that my grandfather must have been killed in a concentration camp, seeing the document suddenly made it more tangible. I've been able to light a yahrtzeit candle ever since."
