Moishe Felman

This month we’re featuring a stunning portrait of Moishe Felman. Moishe was just a child when his entire life was uprooted by the German invasion of Poland. He was forced to leave school, his parents lost their livelihood, and eventually they lost their home and freedom of movement. After a few years of terrible conditions in the ghetto, the Jews in Moishe's town were rounded up and crammed into trains heading for concentration camps. Anyone who resisted was shot. Moishe, his mother, and his sister, were sent to Treblinka, where they were murdered in the gas chambers. Moishe was only 16 years old.
